Sonia Ortega

My name is Mrs. Ortega and I am so honored to be your child's Kindergarten teacher. I am very excited to be a part of this community. I am new to East Heritage and have been an employee at the Etiwanda School District for the past 6 years.

I am have been married for 24 years and have 3 children ranging from the ages of 13 to 24. I am also blessed to have a granddaughter that calls me Lala.

I am excited to embark in this years new journey with your child where we will get to learn and create wonderful memories in our room!

Announcements

Please make sure to label everything with your child's name and send them to school with the following items;

  • backpack

  • lunch pail or bag

  • small snack

  • water

  • sweater or sweatshirt

Please bring your East Heritage folder to school daily. Remove the items that are on the Keep at Home side. If you need to give me anything, it can be placed in the Return to School side.

Free breakfast and lunch is served everyday!

Kindergarten goes to PE every Monday & Friday!

Friday is Spirit Day at East Heritage! All students are invited to wear their school shirts or school colors (blue, green, & yellow)!

If your child is absent, please call the Attendance Hotline at 909-803-3009 to notify the office.

Upcoming Events

August 4 - Kindergarten Orientation at 10:30AM

Also, campus will be open from 5:00-6:00PM for families to visit. Teachers and classrooms are not available.

August 7 - First Day of School! Please arrive between 7:55-8:10

August 10 - Back to School Night - Session 1 5:30-6:00 or Session 2 6:15-6:45. Please choose one session to attend (parents only).

August 14 -25 Color Days - Students are invited to dress up in specific colors daily. More information will be sent home.

August 15 - School Picture Day
